Overwatch Origins
Overwatch Secure was formed through the culmination of three decades of applying situational awareness skills, including security expertise across various branches of the military. Its foundation also draws from a wide range of leadership experience, from active-duty Marines and soldiers to civilian roles in industries such as manufacturing, sales, retail, healthcare, and church volunteering.
I have had the opportunity to witness both the destructive and constructive sides of workplace dynamics. Violence, whether physical or verbal, can create an environment of fear and distrust, making it hard for teams to function effectively. On the other hand, when trust and loyalty are prioritized, the relationships that form can help create a positive, collaborative, and productive environment.
The call sign “Overwatch” was given to me during my time as a Communications Systems Support Specialist in the US Army. In that role, Overwatch was the element that provided a wide perspective of the battlefield, offering intelligence, fire support, and reassurance to others. Much like its role, an Overwatch doesn’t need to be seen to effectively fulfill its mission. The dragon symbolizes the powerful yet invisible force that Overwatch Secure brings to our clients, providing peace and security without needing to be front and center.
As a consultant, I have the opportunity to offer security advice and training, while also integrating leadership development. Having witnessed the impact of insufficient situational awareness in both the workplace and leadership, I am driven by my lifelong commitment to protection and truly believe this is my purpose.
